Katie Rae Bears

Katherine Hallam is the artist behind Katie Rae Bears, creating wonderfully expressive miniature bears known for their distinctive faces, fine detail, and personality.

A longtime collector of miniature artist bears, Katherine eventually began making her own and is largely self-taught. Her work combines traditional bear-making techniques with needle felting, sculpting, and hand painting, allowing her to create unusually detailed and individual characters.

The faces are especially important in Katherine’s work. Each is individually shaped and finished by hand, with carefully sculpted details, handmade noses, and expressive features that give every bear a personality of its own.

Many Katie Rae Bears are also recognized by Katherine’s signature touch of a small diamante accent, adding just a hint of sparkle to the finished piece.

Katherine’s bears have been collected internationally and have received recognition within the artist-bear community, including TOBY honors and Teddy Bear Artist of the Year recognition.
