Deb Horvath

Deborah R. Horvath’s jewelry reflects a lifelong fascination with color, texture and pattern. Her creative path has taken many forms over the years, from working with clay and hand-formed porcelain jewelry to designing distinctive mixed-media jewelry incorporating artisan glass and precious metals.
A trip to Bali in 2000 introduced Deborah to an extraordinary world of beads, colors and patterns and became the inspiration for Febra Rose Studio Designs. Her early work combined artisan glass beads with Bali and Thai silver, while her discovery of precious metal clay in 2005 opened an entirely new direction for her designs.
Many of Deborah’s bracelets feature silver components that she handcrafted herself. Her focal silver beads and many of her toggles were made from fine silver (.999), while smaller accent components often incorporated Bali or Thai silver. She paired these handcrafted elements with glass beads created by skilled glass artisans, many made from borosilicate glass.
Deborah’s designs are richly detailed and often built around a distinctive focal element, with careful attention to the relationship between color, form and texture. The result is jewelry with an unmistakably artistic character—pieces that are as interesting to study up close as they are to wear.
